Kathryn has had a keen interest in helping others find their own balance and positive mental health for over 25 years, starting with her studies in Psychology as part of her Bachelor of Arts in 1993. Kathryn specialises in psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy and hypnotherapy to help clients find greater happiness in their lives.
Psychotherapy and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy
Kathryn uses Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help clients overcome distress patterns. These distress patterns may result in anxiety, panic attacks, feelings of powerlessness, or in relief behaviours, such as smoking, comfort eating, drinking or avoidance of situations. By working with the client, and using the CBT Map to find out triggers, feelings and thought patterns, the client will find they have greater empowerment and choice about their behaviours and reactions. The client is then able to work these new desired behavioural outcomes into their subconscious through the use of Hypno-psychotherapy.
Scars are only a reminder of our past;
they don’t have to dictate where we are going...
